Sir Len Southward was a major, long term, benefactor of the Wellington Paraplegic and Physically Disabled Association and very generously made available the funds from which this grant was made.
For many years the source of these funds was anonymous, but since his death, Lady Southward has agreed to the renaming of the former Adventure Award to honour Sir Len and recognise his contribution.
